ICTS recognizes team science is an imperative facet of discoveries that evolve from bench discoveries to bedside practice and back.
We are committed to promoting the development of teamwork skills within the academic community, and within community partnerships that engage community practitioners, service agencies, and patients.
Competency Areas
In accordance with recommendations by a recent National Academy of Sciences committee (2015, National Research Council), ICTS focuses efforts on building competency in the three basic areas:
- Team composition and assembly
- Team process facilitation
- Leadership
Integration
The ICTS’ Team Science training has been delivered to approximately 250 participants across campus since 2015. We have also facilitated Team Science consultation to Pilot Grant recipients to ensure team success.
Team Science will continue to be integrated into our Masters and Certificate programs as well as our Pilot Grant Program.
