With the new development of the Coronavirus Pandemic we would like to bring to the research team attention the potential risk that research subjects could be exposed during a research visit to UIHC. As you know, some of our populations are older, with comorbid conditions and immunosuppressed, which could put them at an increased risk for severe COVID19 infections. We encourage you to evaluate your research studies to determine whether research visits could be postponed without jeopardizing patient care or critical pieces of the research study. Use your best judgment. Social distancing is a critical public health measure in this fast-moving pandemic, so vigilance is important.
